They repainted it in Ferrari Grigio Scuro with a matte clear overcoat and had the stock grill, fender vents, hood vents and tailgate center CNCed in aluminum. Other highlights include an Outlaw Raptor 3.5” suspension system including uni-ball upper A-arms and triple bypass shocks and 17” Method Racing wheels with BF Goodrich 37X12.5X17 All Terrain tires. At the request of a friend and repeat client, we modified a new Ford Raptor Crew Cab in the ICON style. The modifications are mostly quite subtle, as the focus was to not so much as to change the design or build a monster truck, as it was to refine the design as the factory intended it to be.Cosmetically, we repainted the truck in a Ferrari Grigio Scuro with mate clear. We laser scanned the stock grill, fender vents, hood vents, and tailgate center camera base, then refined the designs and CNC’ed them in aluminum, with the client’s brand logo integrated. After machining, these parts and all other new exterior trim pieces were powder coated in ICON Volcanic Black. The front fenders are custom versions made by Glassworks, with liners. The interior body, roof and door inside surfaces were covered in Dynamat. The front bumper is a modified stock part, and the rear is a modified SDHQ component. All auxiliary LED lighting is by Rigid Industries powered through stock switches, and the LED tail lights are by Recon Industries. All remaining stock light lenses were smoked. The interior is all stock, with the exception of dual headrest integrated DVD/iPod entertainment monitors by Rosen. We also fit a module by Nav-TV Interface, allowing enhanced driver control of NAV and camera functions. Cargo utility was enhanced with a set of Mac’s Tiedown SlideLock tie down system rails, and Line-X coating in the bed and inner fenders. Front windows tinted to match OEM.
Mechanically, we enhanced the suspension with an Outlaw Raptor 3.5” system including uni-ball upper A-arms and triple bypass shocks. Other than a K&N intake and modified exhaust tips, we left the drivetrain stock. Rims are 17” Method Racing wheels, with BF Goodrich 37X12.5X17 All Terrain tires.
