EcoBoost Blowup: The Sad Tale Of GhostintheMachine’s F-150 Ecoboost
Having an engine blow on you is bad news. But having two? Either you have the worst kind of luck or there’s something wrong with how your stuff is setup.
In either case, forumer GhostintheMachine has been through it. His ecoboost F-150 has been through no fewer than three engines in the short while that he’s owned it. That, in its own right, is terrible. The real horror is that the engine problems are only the start of it. The dealership that he went to also returned his truck with damage, grease smudges, the lot of it. He still doesn’t have his truck back from the last time he gave it them. It’s a customer service nightmare.
I don’t know what they’re doing at Ford Canada, but I’m guess the answer is somewhere between “not much” and “everything wrong.” You’d think they’d really be on top of customer service issues with a new platform like the ecoboost. But if this thread is anything to go by… Man. Read up after the jump.
